Research and Instruction Librarian - The Edward and Barbara Netter Library at Quinnipiac University
seeks a dynamic, motivated and service-oriented librarian responsible
for developing and delivering innovative information services in the
health and basic sciences. The Research and Instruction Librarian
supports and collaborates with faculty to integrate electronic
information resources into the curriculum. This position will provide
innovative library instruction and information literacy programs,
including faculty outreach and developing collaborative teaching and
learning opportunities inside and outside of the classroom. The
successful candidate will also serve as a liaison to assigned academic
departments and provide consultation, technical assistance and creative
expertise to tailor instructional resources to faculty and student
needs.
Reporting to the Director, the Research and Instruction
Librarian will primarily support the new Frank H. Netter, MD School of
Medicine as well as assisting with the School of Health Sciences and the
School of Nursing on the Quinnipiac University North Haven Campus.

Responsibilities: Serve as a library liaison to
assigned academic departments to support their curricular and
educational needs. Routinely interact and communicate with students and
faculty to assess information needs in support of curriculum and
research. Provide reference assistance to library users. Teach library
and information skills programs and assist in design and development of
instruction. Serve on library and university committees. Participate in
scholarly activities and professional development.
Qualifications & Special Instructions to
Applicants: A Master’s degree (MLS) from an ALA-accredited program is
required. Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience required.
Experience at an academic health sciences library or hospital library is
preferred. Education and/or work experience in a health sciences field
is a plus. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal
skills are required. Ability to work effectively with a diverse
population of students and faculty.

UConn Library The UConn Library seeks two
STEM Librarians to develop Library research services for the University,
focusing on programs in chemistry, biochemistry, and engineering. With
unprecedented support from the state, industry, and donors, UConn has created

Minimum Qualifications for Appointment as Librarian I (UCP 5): Master's
degree in Library or Information Science from a program accredited by the
American Library Association, or international equivalent. Work experience in an academic library or educational
setting relevant to the position. Experience
using information resources in STEM, including databases, journals, and
citation management software, and/or a demonstrated working knowledge of data
sets, including best practices for storage,
analysis, and sharing of data.Demonstrated ability with instruction and presentation
skills of individuals and groups. Evidence of excellent oral and written
communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to work
independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Demonstrated
analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to think strategically, be
innovative, and embrace change. Willingness
to travel and work a flexible schedule. Additional Minimum
Qualifications for Appointment as Librarian II (UCP 7): Minimum of three years of related experience in an
academic, research, or corporate library setting. Experience participating in managing a budget for a
department, project, team or committee.Evidence of increasing involvement in professional
development activities outside the University.Preferred Qualifications for All Appointments: Undergraduate or graduate degree in chemical, biochemical,
engineering, and/or a closely related STEM field. In depth knowledge and experience using
information resources in STEM to support academic research and
scholarship. Demonstrated experience with large networked data
sets and/or research data responsibility best practices for storage, analysis,
and sharing of data. Proven ability to establish
demand for services and resources through active promotion and outreach. Demonstrated ability to create
online learning objects and tutorials. Demonstrated knowledge of scholarly communication
processes. This is a full time position based in Storrs with an
anticipated start date of January 6, 2017. The University offers a

Research Services and Collections Librarian
Trinity College Information
Services in Hartford, Connecticut seeks a dynamic, creative, collaborative and
forward-thinking librarian to join the Research Services team in a newly
created position of Research Services and Collections Librarian. Reporting to
the Director of Research Services and Collections the successful candidate will
be an active participant in the work of the team, serve as a liaison to faculty
in an academic department, provide general and specialized information research
assistance; and deliver information literacy instruction. Along with these
duties the librarian will play an important role in management of all phases of
the lifecycle of print and digital monographic resources (acquisition, access,
administration, support, and evaluation). This position will be highly
collaborative, requiring close coordination with many staff in the CTW Consortium
(Connecticut College, Trinity College, and Wesleyan University) and also with
the Electronic Resources Librarian at Trinity. CTW libraries will implement a
new ILS in 2017, offering the person in this positon an exciting opportunity to
