Program Librarian - Beacon Falls Public Library. Full-Time (30 HR) Position. The Beacon Falls Public Library is seeking an ambitious, well-organized and creative individual with a dynamic personality to fill our full-time (30-hr.) Program Librarian position. Nature of Work & Minimum Qualifications: Responsibilities include planning, organizing, publicizing, presenting and/or supervising a broad range of library programs for all ages, with special emphasis on early literacy programs and those of interest to adults and families. Must be skilled in marketing, networking, and collaborating with other groups. In addition to having a warm, welcoming and service-oriented demeanor, candidates must possess strong computer skills, an aptitude for technology and an above-average knowledge and interest in Web 2.0 technologies and software. Will be expected to share in circulation desk duties. Experience with Evergreen ILS a plus. MLS degree preferred, but not required. Flexibility in scheduling will be necessary. Hours and Salary Range: 30 hours/week include at least one evening per week until 8 PM and 1-2 Saturdays per month. The Town of Beacon Falls offers a comprehensive benefit package and a starting hourly wage for this position of $17.06-$20.06, depending on experience.
