Reference Librarian - Lincoln College of New England
(LCNE), Southington, is searching for a dynamic, student-focused,
full-time Librarian for the Southington campus. LCNE is a growing
institution, offering Certificate, Associate, and Bachelor level
programs. The LCNE library staff pride themselves on personal service to
students, providing focused attention and encouraging academic
resilience. This position: assists students and staff with reference
research, performs basic circulation functions, manages interlibrary
loans, teaches bibliographic instruction sessions, creates instructional
library materials, operates and maintains library technology, performs
site opening functions, and other duties as assigned by the college. The
ideal candidate will possess: a positive attitude, a desire for
lifelong learning, critical thinking skills, the ability to provide
guidance to student workers, prior academic library experience,
collaborative capabilities, excellent communication skills,
goal-oriented and solution based problem solving skills, and a passion
for helping students achieve their personal and professional goals. The
position requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, with an MLS
preferred. This is an hourly, 35-hour-per-week position. Most shifts are
in the daytime hours, although night and weekend shifts will
