Director of the Library - Suffield Academy.
The Director of the Library is a salaried staff position. The Director
develops and maintains the library facility, implementing programs that
support the Academy’s curriculum and goals. Major Areas of
Responsibility: Supervise the daily operation of the library; creating
an inviting environment that encourages use of the library while
instilling life long research and reading habits. Create and implement
educational programs that encourage student and faculty involvement in
the library and its resources. Work with department heads and faculty to
obtain material relevant to their programs. Acquire and implement
information technology that is appropriate for faculty and students.
Teach research skills. In partnership with the Academic Dean, prepare an
annual budget that reflects both long and short-term goals. Oversee the
library staff. Supervise the maintenance and upkeep of the building.
Coordinate school events that occur in the library, including the
scheduling of Tisch Auditorium. If interested, please send a letter of
