Library Assistants - Cora J. Belden Library, Rocky Hill. Due to upcoming retirements/resignations, the Cora J. Belden Library has 24-hour and 35-hour openings for Library Assistants working in both the Adult and Children’s areas. We are seeking individuals with exceptional customer service skills and stellar interpersonal communication (in person, via telephone, etc.). Flexibility, adaptability and an ability to quickly adopt improvements in technology are also highly desirable. Library experience, strong technology skills, prior work with children/teens and/or proven track record with assisting with programming required. At least one position will include helping to create innovative programs for children that will spark literacy, a desire to learn new things and a love of reading. The positions include evening and Saturday hours. These positions are covered under an AFSCME contract. Starting salary approximately $22.46/hour. CLOSING DATE: January 23, 2015.
