Librarians - Fairfield University
seeks energetic, self-motivated librarians with a strong public
services commitment for the following shifts: Monday evenings 6:00 p.m. –
10:00 p.m. and Wednesday evenings 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. Some
flexibility is desirable for working as a substitute for other
evening/weekend reference staff. Schedule varies during holidays, summer
and intersessions. The Library also invites applications for a
part-time instruction librarian opening to teach weekdays as part of a
busy Information Literacy Program. Requirements: MLS from ALA-accredited
program. Prior reference desk experience. Demonstrated ability to
communicate, both orally and in writing, to a variety of audiences.
Experience with electronic reference resources. For the instruction
position: teaching experience using active learning techniques is highly
