Substitute Reference Librarian - Noah Webster Library, West Hartford

Substitute Reference Librarian - Noah Webster Library in West Hartford is looking for a professional Librarian to work our busy Reference desk on an as-needed basis. Applicants should have knowledge and experience providing public services to adults and teens in a public library, including general reference, readers’ advisory, and patron assistance. Ideal candidates will also have familiarity with print and online resources, exhibit excellent customer service skills, be comfortable assisting patrons with technology, and hold a MLS degree from an ALA accredited university. Knowledge of the Sierra ILS is preferred. Because this is a part-time substitute position, the right candidate will have a flexible schedule that will include day, evening, and weekend shifts. Salary: $30.16/hr. Sick leave is provided consistent with State of Connecticut Regulations, but there are no other benefits associated with this position.
