Librarian III, Adult Services Librarian - Welles-Turner Memorial Library, Glastonbury. Full-time. Hours: 37.5 hrs/week. Salary Range: $58,851-$73,593. This position is responsible for coordinating and supervising the daily operations of major areas of the Library (Lending & Reference); making professional level library decisions; planning, coordinating and directing programs and personnel of a department(2) within the Library. This position also assists the Library Director with the interviewing, hiring and training of staff as required, addresses patron’s reference inquiries and instructs patrons in the use of reference materials, methods and tools, selects materials for addition to the collection, inspects and recommends materials for repair, weeds and/or replaces outdated or severely damaged materials, participates in community relations and community outreach activities. Candidate must possess a Master degree in library science from an accredited college or university plus three years of progressively responsible library administration experience including one year in a supervisory of lead capacity. Must have a valid Driver’s License.
