Adult Services / Programming Librarian - The West Haven Library seeks a tech-savvy, customer-oriented person for a full-time (37.5 hours) adult services/programming librarian position in our busy reference department. Must be able to work evenings and some Saturdays. Reporting to the Adult Services Librarian, the duties include but are not limited to; adult programming, collection development for the Reference department, assisting patrons with computer support along with one-on-one training, and providing monthly reporting to the Director. This person must be a team player, have attention to detail, and strong troubleshooting skills. Required qualifications are an MLS from an accredited institution with at least one year of library experience, or a minimum of 3-6 years of library experience with intention of receiving an MLS within the next two years. Familiarity with Sierra and a consortium library a plus. Salary will be commensurate with experience. This is a union position.
