Technical Services Library Assistant - The Sherman Library
seeks an enthusiastic and tech-savvy team player with excellent
customer service skills and a commitment to the importance of the
library in our community. Responsible for supporting the management of
operations and activities of the library. This includes coordination of
acquisitions, cataloging, and processing library materials and direct
customer service. Manage circulation duties, and interlibrary loan
program, assist patrons in use of library services, resources and
technology, and various support responsibilities.
To join our small staff a successful candidate must
have a positive, friendly attitude, enjoy working with the public, and
be self-motivated, reliable, flexible and able to multi-task. Bachelor’s
Degree required. Computer literacy and strong communication skills a
must. Library experience and familiarity with integrated systems
desirable. This is a part time position of 14-20 hours per week;
Wednesday, Friday 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. and every other Saturday 10-4.
Salary: $18.50 per hour. Benefits include vacation, holidays, and sick
days.
