Library Program Specialist - Office of Library & Information Services, Providence, RI. The Office of Library and Information Services is seeking a Library Program Specialist II to serve as Adult Services Coordinator. This new position also includes work in the area of library development. Position Function Duties: Duties include planning, developing and implementing local library development projects in areas such as adult education, adult literacy, digital literacy, workforce development, diversity and inclusion, and other areas; serving as a liaison between libraries, community organizations and government agencies in the development and execution of these projects; and promoting and publicizing these projects and others through multiple channels, including online publications and social media. Other duties: To perform complex professional duties in the delivery of library, information and consultant services on a statewide basis; to assist in the planning and development of program policies, procedures and standards; to research national trends and current developments in public library service for local application; and to do related work as required.
