Assistant Library Director - Cheshire Public Library. Deadline - February 28, 2014. Town of Cheshire seeks an experienced administrator for its next Assistant Library Director. This is a part-time, 25 hour per week position. $31.00/hr. The Assistant Director is responsible for administering and coordinating library communications, technology, programming and marketing activities. He/she will work closely with technology staff, and functions as the Library Director or Deputy Director in their absence. The position requires initiative, planning, organization, coordination and strong administrative skills in order to help the library achieve the objectives in its Strategic Plan and to meet the community’s needs. To be considered for this position an applicant must have a Master’s Degree in Library Science from an accredited program and two years of related administrative experience; or a Bachelor’s Degree and equivalent administrative experience.
