Part-Time Reference Librarian - Avon Free Public Library
is seeking a friendly, knowledgeable, tech-savvy professional to join
our Reference team. This is a part-time 24 hours/week position with a
wide range of responsibilities. The schedule is to be determined, but
will include one evening and a Saturday rotation. The ideal candidate
will have a sense of humor, a dynamic personality that enjoys
interacting with the public, a love of reading, an ease with technology
and a commitment to connecting the library to the community.
Responsibilities include reference assistance, collection development,
readership promotion, technology instruction and troubleshooting,
program planning and community outreach. Minimum requirements for the
position are a Master’s Degree in Library Science and two years of
progressively responsible experience in library work. The salary is
$25.8128/hour and there are no benefits associated with this position.
