Program Librarian - The Beacon Falls Public Library
is seeking an ambitious, well-organized and creative individual with a
dynamic personality to fill our full-time (30-hr.) Program Librarian
position. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, presenting
and/or supervising a broad range of library programs for preschool,
elementary and young adult users, researching and scheduling programs of
interest for adults, families and the community, collaborating events
with the Region 16 school district, other Town Depts. and organizations
and a full range of shared circulation desk duties. In addition to
having a warm, welcoming and service-oriented demeanor, candidates must
possess strong computer skills, an aptitude for technology and an
above-average knowledge and interest in Web 2.0 technologies and
software. Experience with Drupal and Evergreen ILS a plus. Regular hours
include one evening per week until 8 P.M. and 1-2 Saturdays per month.
Some flexibility in scheduling will be necessary. Starting salary is
$18.97 / hr. Generous benefit package applies. MLS degree preferred, but
