Reference and Instruction Librarian - Bay Path College, MA

Reference and Instruction Librarian - Bay Path College, a pioneer in innovative academic programs since 1897 and ranked in the top tier by U.S. News & World Report, seeks a creative Reference and Instruction Services Librarian with a strong commitment to public service. The person in this full-time position coordinates the planning, development, implementation, and assessment of reference and instruction services. Responsibilities include providing traditional and electronic reference services; coordinating the information literacy program; designing and teaching course-integrated classes in information literacy; helping to maintain Hatch Virtual Library web pages; collaborating with faculty; and supervising part-time reference and information literacy librarians. Qualifications: MLS degree from an ALA-accredited program; 3 years of relevant experience, including reference and instruction experience in an academic library as well as administrative and supervisory experience; knowledge of online databases and Internet resources; familiarity with trends in information literacy instruction and curriculum design; experience creating web pages; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and willingness to work some evening and weekend hours.
