Director of Library Services - Tunxis Community College. 12 month. Start Date: July 1, 2010. Qualifications: Master's Degree in Library Science and three years of related experience including one year of supervising others, preferably in a community college library setting. Demonstrated ability to perform and supervise a full range of professional library services with strong competencies in public services, reference research, technical services, collection development and instructional assistance in a higher education environment. Responsibilities: This position works under the direction of the Dean of Academic Affairs. Position responsibilities include the following: Effective delivery of library services, development and organization of the library's resources, supervision, evaluation, training, development and direction of learning resource staff, budget, fiscal, and facilities management, and library assessment and evaluation. Minimum Salary: $66,231 approximate annually, plus excellent state benefits package.
