Part Time Librarian I - Prosser Public Library, Bloomfield

Part Time Librarian I - Prosser Public Library, Bloomfield. Part Time: 19 hours weekly. Salary: $32.33 hrly (non-benefited). Bloomfield Public Library Services seeks a dynamic, enthusiastic and technically savvy librarian for our neighborhood branch library. Work experience must include collection development, presenting programs for adults and children; marketing and publicity; and outreach to the community. Selected candidate must be available primarily on Tuesdays from 1-8 PM, Wednesdays from 10 AM to 5 PM and Thursdays from 1-6 PM: must be flexible to occasionally switch schedule to support staffing/program needs. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum requirements include Masters in Library Science (MLS) from an ALA accredited college or university, and one year of related experience, including library computer systems. Knowledge and experience with Sierra/Encore ILS preferable. Selection Process: Candidates will be rated based on education, experience, and skills identified on the application, resume and cover letter as they relate to the requirements of this position. Additional examinations may include computer skills testing, written subject matter tests, and/or oral interviews or may be a combination of any of the above.
