Head of Adult Services - The Woodbridge Town Library
is seeking a creative, enthusiastic and thoughtful professional
librarian to fill the position of Head of Adult Services. This position
is responsible for managing all services provided by the Adult Services
Department, including reference, readers’ advisory, technology
assistance, adult programming, marketing and collection development.
This position also coordinates the Library's website and social media
presence. This department prides itself on its excellent customer
service and it has been successful in presenting a wide range of
dynamic, innovative programming. We are looking for a candidate who will
focus on providing the leadership and vision necessary for the
department to expand upon these successes.
A Master’s Degree in Library Science from an
ALA-accredited program is required. Public Library experience,
especially connected to reference and programming, and supervisory
experience are preferred. Demonstrated excellent customer service,
organizational and communication skills are essential. Strong knowledge
of reference sources and library-related technology is required. 35
Hours per week, including evening and weekend hours. Salary is $54,808
