Full-Time Reference Librarian - Cora J. Belden Library, Rocky Hill. Retirement has opened up a unique and golden opportunity for an enthusiastic, energetic and highly motivated Reference Librarian who possesses amazing customer service skills as well as great technical and interpersonal skills to join the team at the Cora J. Belden Library. Our ideal candidate will have: excellent customer service skills; a passion for connecting patrons with library and information materials; creativity; comfort with exploring new technology; and a proven track record of collaborating with colleagues and building community relationships. Duties include (but are not limited to): programming; reference assistance; collection development; readers’ advisory; coordination and dissemination of library publicity; and duties we cannot even list because they are just tiny specks of thought you have now, which have the potential to grow and become important, innovative services of the future library. Qualifications and Experience: Master’s Degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited university and progressively responsible experience in a library setting. Full-time position with 40 hours per week, including 1 evening per week and Saturday rotation. Salary is $63,460 with Town benefits. Closing date is 4:30 pm on Wednesday, February 11, 2015.
