Library Assistant Director - Willington Public Library.
17.5 hours/ 23.5 hours- Part time. The successful candidate will be
working in all areas of library related duties and must have a good
understanding of library practices. This position reports to and
receives general instructions from the Director. Some responsibilities
include: processing books and other materials, repairs and mends
materials as needed, creates MARC records, processes overdue notices,
assists patrons with the OPAC and in finding materials. Additional
responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting in general
circulation and reference duties, schedules/manages facility use by
outside groups, engages outreach to promote use of the library by
emailing library events to local newspapers/news channels, assumes
supervisory duties in the Director’s absence, and understands the
service goals of the library and fosters those aims through ongoing
communications with various organizations in the community.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education
and experience. Position scheduled to begin July 1, 2014. The position
offers a salary of $15.50/hour. To apply please send cover letter,
