Substitute Children’s Library Position - Westport Library is seeking outgoing, creative, energetic, forward-thinking, service-oriented professional candidates with a working knowledge of children's literature and reading interests to be an active part of our Children's Department. Position requirements include being comfortable providing reader's advisory and having the ability to relate to children from birth through grade eight, as well as their parents and caregivers. Successful candidate must be a confident user of advanced computer technology and customer service oriented. Bachelor's degree required; degree in education or child-related field or previous library experience a plus. Maximum of 19.5 hours weekly, mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends, depending on Library scheduling needs. Salary is commensurate with experience.
