Library Aide I - Canton Public Library
Library Aide I - Scheduled Part Time and Substitute. The Canton Public Library
 is seeking pleasant, customer service-oriented self-starters to join 
the staff of our friendly community library.  12 hours per week plus 
every 4th Saturday, mostly at the Circulation desk.  Additional sub 
hours are available at our Circulation, Children’s, and Reference desks.
 A high school education or equivalency is required; a Bachelor’s degree
 is preferred.   Must have outstanding technology skills, including 
fast, accurate keyboarding; working knowledge of Microsoft Office 
products; use of email; internet searching; routine trouble-shooting of 
computers and peripherals; digital photography skills; familiarity with 
social networking utilities.  Must be an avid reader and library user.  
The successful candidate will be a self-starter with excellent written 
and verbal communication skills, able to work in a fast-paced, demanding
 environment.  Previous customer service and library experience is 
preferred; Sirsi experience is helpful.  Day, evening, and weekend hours
 are available.  MLS students encouraged to apply. EOE. The rate of pay 
is $13.77 per hour.  There are no benefits. To apply, send a completed
