Systems and Technology Development Librarian - Trinity College Library, Hartford, CT. The Systems and Technology Development Librarian provides the guidance to shape and sustain the Library’s use of technology to advance library services and operations. Responsibilities include overseeing the implementation, maintenance and development of all department-specific software, systems, and equipment. Acts as the Library’s primary liaison on information technology with other College departments, including the Computing Center. Provides ongoing training and support to library staff. Minimum Qualifications: ALA accredited master’s degree in library science or equivalent experience; experience maintaining an integrated library system and navigating a UNIX operating system; demonstrated knowledge of web authoring tools, coding dynamic web pages, scripting languages (such as ColdFusion), and writing SQL queries; familiarity with standard desktop applications and basic networking; strong organizational and interpersonal skills; creativity, adaptability, and an aptitude to learn new technological tools and techniques.
