Staff Workstation Coordinator - University of Connecticut

Staff Workstation Coordinator - University of Connecticut, Storrs Campus. Position Summary: The incumbent provides advanced computer hardware, software, programming, instruction, documentation, and consultation services to the staff of the UConn Libraries. Working with other ITS and Library Staff, this individual supports workstation and peripheral deployment and use in a busy Library Setting. Duties include: Lifecycle management of the libraries staff workstations and peripherals at the Storrs campus Library as well as all 5 regional campus libraries, advanced desktop support, user training, backup server administration, and user needs assessments. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and training and three years of related experience. 2. One year of demonstrated experience managing the lifecycle of Windows based workstations and peripherals including inventory, procurement, imaging, and provisioning. 3. Demonstrated experience managing a workstation disk imaging solution (Ghost, Windows Deployment Services, or similar). 4. Demonstrated experience training users on software and technologies. 5. Demonstrated experience managing a networked printing service. 6. Demonstrated experience managing accounts and group policies in Active Directory. Desired Qualifications: 1. Demonstrated experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing computer hardware. 2. Experience providing technical support in an academic library. 3. Demonstrated experience assessing users' needs and identifying appropriate technology solutions. 4. Demonstrated experience supporting Microsoft SharePoint. 5. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Infopath. 6. Demonstrated experience Ex Libris Voyager Software. This is a full time position.
