Cataloger - Bibliomation

Cataloger - Bibliomation, a consortium of 48 public libraries and 20 K-12 schools, seeks a cataloger. Someone with a Masters in Library Science is preferred, with experience in use of the OCLC system, Dewey Decimal Classification, LCSH, MARC, LC and AACR2 standards. Position responsibilities include original and copy cataloging on OCLC, provide telephone and email support for libraries in the use of the cataloging, acquisitions and serials modules; train libraries on the current ILS (SirsiDynix Horizon system) and the next ILS (Evergreen, an open source ILS). Other responsibilities: create and maintain documentation; assist in implementing procedures and policies for the maintenance of a high quality shared database; perform authority control work in the MARC database; perform other tasks consistent with this level of responsibility. Salary - mid $40,000 range; will meet CLA minimum for qualified candidate.
