Acquisitions Assistant - Trinity College Library, Hartford. Responsible for the acquisition and physical processing of library materials. Duties include ordering, sorting and receiving incoming materials, tracking claims, processing payments, and updating catalog records. Also responsible for the physical preparation of materials for shelving including binding, book repairs, and the training and supervision of assigned student staff. High school degree required; two years of college, business school, or equivalent and minimum one year experience in library work or comparable environment preferred. Also required are good computer skills with experience in database management and spreadsheet applications; demonstrated ability to organize and handle multiple tasks, high productivity, accuracy and attention to detail; good communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
