Children's Librarian - Stonington Free Library

Children's Librarian - Stonington Free Library has a full-time position for a child-friendly, creative, enthusiastic public service oriented person to join our staff. Responsibilities include: plan and provide literacy based programs for children and teens, including birth through preschool storytimes, class visits, early reader book clubs, and summer reading program; coordinate and supervise community outreach services; provide reference and reader's advisory for toddlers, elementary school through high school students, parents and care-givers using print and electronic resources; collection development. The ability to work with Windows applications and a working knowledge of children's literature required. Some evening and weekend hours required. Bachelor's degree and library experience required. 37 hour work week, salary $36,400. Benefits include vacation, holiday and sick-time (no health insurance).
