Library Specialist - East Hartford Public Library
Library Specialist - East Hartford Public Library seeks customer service-oriented person to work in our Children’s Dept. This is a full time (35hrs/wk) position with work assignments at both the Raymond Library and Wickham Branch. Responsibilities include assisting library patrons in registration and circulation of library materials; maintaining patron accounts through data entry; developing and implementing programs for children, and monitoring work of subordinate staff. Minimum five years previous public library experience, including experience providing children’s programming, is required. Knowledge of Sierra preferred. Qualifications: High School graduate plus minimum five (5) years of experience demonstrating practical knowledge of library functions, services, terminology, techniques, procedures, practices and standard tools or comparable experience, OR Library Technical Assistant certificate and/or four (4) years of college.
