Library Assistant (LTA 1, part-time) – Essex Library

Library Assistant (LTA 1, part-time) – The Essex Library seeks a reliable person with excellent customer service skills to work Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2 – 7 PM as well as occasional Saturdays. Duties include staffing the Circulation Desk, checking in and processing ILL materials, and other tasks as assigned. Experience working in a public library preferred, but MLIS candidates without direct experience are encouraged to apply. Successful candidate must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 35 lbs. Familiarity with III Sierra or Millennium ILS is a plus. This position does not include healthcare benefits but is eligible for paid time off and a salary increase after a six month probationary period. Starting salary is $13.75 per hour.
