Reference Librarian - Lincoln College of New England

Reference Librarian - Lincoln College of New England (LCNE) is searching for a dynamic, student-focused, full-time Reference Librarian for our Southington campus. LCNE offers Certificate, Associate, and Bachelor level programs. Our students are diverse, and deserve and receive a large amount of individual attention and care. This position: Assists students and staff with research, performs basic circulation functions, manages interlibrary loans, teaches bibliographic instruction sessions, creates instructional library materials, operates and maintains library technology, performs site opening functions, and other duties as assigned by the College. The ideal candidate will possess: A positive attitude, a desire for lifelong learning, critical thinking skills, the ability to provide guidance to student workers, prior academic library experience, an MLS, collaborative capabilities, excellent communication skills, goal-oriented and solution based problem solving skills, and a passion for helping students achieve their personal and professional goals. This is a 37.5 hour per week position. Most shifts are in the daytime hours, although night and weekend shifts will occasionally be required.
