Branch Librarian I - Harry Bennett and Weed Hollander Memorial Branches, The Ferguson Library, Stamford. Classification Range: 5. Salary Range: $ 59,853 – 73,465. The Ferguson Library is seeking to fill the full-time position of Branch Librarian I for its Harry Bennett and Weed Hollander Memorial branches. Founded in 1877, and incorporated as an association library in 1880, The Ferguson Library is Stamford’s public library. With major annual funding from the City, it operates a Main Library downtown, three neighborhood branches, and a bookmobile. The Library is governed by a board of trustees, who are guided by a strategic plan that serves as a blueprint for providing excellent service.
     The Branch Librarian joins a team of forward-thinking professionals. In addition to providing reference services, the successful candidate will have the necessary experience for developing and maintaining the adult materials collections in both the Harry Bennett and Weed branches, assisting patrons with technology and accessing the Library’s digital resources, teaching computer skills in classes and one-on-one tutorials, providing reader’s advisory services, preparing bibliographies and pathfinders, updating and adding content to the Library’s website as needed, and performing other duties as required to provide library services to an adult population.
