Adult Services Librarian - Cromwell Belden Public Library

Adult Services Librarian - The Cromwell Belden Public Library seeks a self-motivated and energetic individual to join our team as Adult Services Librarian. This position is responsible for oversight of the library’s adult services department, including collection development, reference, staff scheduling and supervision, and programming. The Adult Services Librarian works closely with the CBPL Director and the Children’s Services Librarian to coordinate programming and plan for the future of the library.
     Currently in the beginning stages of a major renovation project, the Cromwell Belden Public Library is a dynamic library with a collegial environment and a wide range of patron resources, including the first virtual reality lab in a Connecticut library. We value innovation and seek to create a positive and welcoming environment for staff and patrons alike.
     Preferred requirements include an MLS from an ALA-accredited institution, along with experience working in public services, excellent organizational skills, and a track record of successful customer service. Knowledge of current trends in technology, supervisory experience, and a positive attitude and willingness to learn are a must. Public library experience is strongly preferred. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
     Position is full-time, 35 hours per week, with excellent benefits. Salary range is 56,017-78,821.
