Managing Librarian, Part Time – Fairchild Nichols Memorial Library




Trumbull Library System & Fairchild Nichols Association seeks individual to be responsible for operations of the Fairchild-Nichols Memorial Branch Library including building and staff oversight, collection management and program implementation.  Qualified candidate should possess highly effective interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, energetic and interested in new technologies as well as excellent computer, organizational and communication skills.

Minimum Requirements:  Successful candidate must possess an MLS degree from an accredited university or be currently enrolled in an MLS degree program from an accredited university.     A combination of staff supervision experience, programming experience, collection development and a minimum of three years working in a library setting required.  Candidate must also show a proven track record working cooperatively with staff, patrons and community groups.

Schedule:  Between 19 and 25 hours/week spread over four days (Monday-Thursday) including some Saturdays depending on scheduling and library needs.   
$ 27.00/hour.
