Supervisor - Harry Bennett and Weed Hollander Branches, Stamford. Classification Range: 7. Salary Range: $64,769 – 82,975. The Ferguson Library offers a challenging and rewarding work environment in two of our branches for a community minded librarian with supervisory experience. The Harry Bennett Branch, a bustling facility across from Turn of River Middle School, is one of the busiest library branches in Connecticut, with an active programming component. It is located in a 24,000 sq. ft. building that was constructed in 2000. The Weed Memorial and Hollander Branch, located in the close-knit neighborhood of Springdale, is housed in a 19th century farm house that was renovated in 2006. Both branches have an active and involved patron community. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the daily activities, services and programs at both of these locations, and will schedule, train, develop and evaluate staff. The position also involves planning and coordinating programs and services, including the introduction of new technologies. An important aspect of this job will be to monitor the condition of the branch buildings, as well plan for future use. Additionally, this person will promote the branches in the community, and will participate in community organizations and activities.
