For the first time in 35 years, due to retirement, the Bill Memorial Library in Groton is looking for a new Director of this small, dynamic, award-winning library. The position requires that the employee have thorough knowledge, skills, and ability in every phase of the public library field. A Master's Degree in Library Science from an accredited college or university plus five (5) years of progressively responsible library administration experience including at least three (3) years in a supervisory capacity which provides a demonstrated potential for performing the duties of the position is required. Computer skills essential, including knowledge of operating systems, hardware and software. Familiarity with, and ability to administer, the Sirsi/Dynix circulation system is desirable.
