Computer Tutor - Cora J. Belden Library, Rocky Hill
Computer Tutor - Do you love technology? The Cora J. Belden Library
is looking for a person who is familiar with a wide range of technology
tools to help on a per diem basis with technology programming and
demonstrations. Duties include providing one-on-one instruction in the
use of downloadable e-book and audiobook collections, online databases
and electronic devices such as tablets and e-readers. Additional duties
may include helping patrons learn the basics of using email or social
networking (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.) or how to conduct video
conference calls. The successful applicants will be eager to teach,
flexible, creative, a team player, and have great interpersonal and
tutoring skills, along with strong technology problem solving abilities.
Familiarity and extreme comfort levels with Nooks, Kindles, Androids
and iPads/iPhones a plus. Education and Experience: Library Degree or
Library Student preferred. Record of success in offering programs. Pay
Rate: $23.00/hour. Application process: All applicants must submit a
