Network Services Librarian - Godfrey Memorial Library/Middletown

Network Services Librarian - Job Description: The Network Services Librarian at the Godfrey Memorial Library is responsible for management of technology services within the library network and in conjunction with outside vendors and partners. This includes but is not limited to oversight and backup processing of data on in-house servers. Additionally, the Network Services Librarian works directly with library patrons, providing assistance as required. Familiarity with genealogical and family history resources is highly desirable. The Network Services Librarian must possess the following qualifications: General computer skills and experience including Windows XP, Windows 7 networking and Microsoft Office applications. Experience with or aptitude to learn ACT! By Sage and other technology applications required. Website design and maintenance experience, including knowledge of HTML code. Ability to work with graphic design software for creation of brochures, flyers, ads and other materials. Ability to write/edit and develop articles, letters and other business communications. Organizational skills to cope with a variety of tasks ranging from conference planning to working with outside programmers. Highly developed communications skills, ability to work well with people in person and on the telephone. Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or any combination of equivalent education and experience. Salary: $40,100 annually. Full-time position, 36 hours/week.
