Business & Web Experience Reference Librarian - Sacred Heart University seeks a Business and Web Experience Reference Librarian. Working in a team-oriented library environment, the Business and Web Experience Reference Librarian supports the learning and teaching mission of the University in collaboration with other librarians, and especially with colleagues in John F. Welch College of Business (WCOB). He or she develops and maintains consultative relationships and an array of user-centered services in support of the research, instructional and resource needs of the students, faculty and general University community, particularly web services. The principle duties and responsibilities of this position include: selecting subject specific resources; providing general reference services; ensuring a transparent and seamless experience for users of library web resources and services; teaching introductory and/or subject-specific information literacy courses and instruction sessions; advocating on behalf of the academic programs in library planning; participating in the delivery and management of public and reference services. Requirements: MLS from an ALA accredited program of Library Science; a second master’s degree in business or economics, or experience in an academic library is strongly preferred; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; creativity in teaching and the development of user services; demonstrated experience or expertise with the management of library web services and administrative modules.
