Digital Technologies Librarian - Springfield College

Digital Technologies Librarian - Springfield College is accepting applications for the position of Digital Technologies Librarian. This position has responsibility for the planning, maintaining, and troubleshooting all aspects of the technology infrastructure that supports Babson Library digital resources; works closely with all library managers to determine needs, maintain systems, and provide advice on emerging technologies; works closely with members of the Public Services Dept., ITS Dept. and vendors to assure digital services meet the needs of Springfield College students and faculty; works closely with the SC webmaster. Qualifications include: Master’s degree in Library or Information Science from an ALA accredited institution required. A minimum of one to three years of experience in library network systems; a solid understanding of library systems, the e-publishing industry, and the ability to understand and implement instructional design principles. Experience with CSS, HTML, XML, MARC and related technologies and/or web design; ability to troubleshoot applications; graphic design skills and experience with graphic design software, such as Adobe Photoshop. Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to manage complexity and implement change. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team; to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities; to handle sensitive, confidential information..
