Reference Department Head - New Canaan Library

Reference Department Head - New Canaan Library is seeking an innovative, motivated, energetic person to head-up a busy Reference Department in a well-read, highly educated community where the Library is beloved. This position is responsible for supervising a staff of 7 employees; oversees collection development of both print and online resources; assists with the development and maintenance of the Library’s website; coordinates and presents computer and database instruction both individually and in a classroom setting and answers questions from the public providing reference and reader’s advisory expertise. Salary range starts at $55K and is commensurate with experience; includes excellent benefits. Applicants must have an MLS and 5 years progressively responsible experience in a public library.
