Internships - The Connecticut Library Consortium (CLC) welcomes applications for internship opportunities. CLC is a non-profit library cooperative, serving nearly 800 libraries across the state. CLC strives to improve library service through coordinated planning, resource sharing, and the development of programs too costly or impractical for a single library to maintain. Description: This competitive, unpaid position will expose the student to the workings of the Connecticut library community, as well as the operations of a statewide non-profit. Responsibilities: 5-20 hours per week. Position will provide staff support with various operations, including: Database management; general office duties; assisting with events, workshops and roundtables; helping to identify and implement cooperative services, including media cooperative rotations. Qualifications: Must have at least three years college in a relevant field of study. Library studies and experience preferred. Must have excellent customer service skills. Task-oriented and organized, with strong computer skills and excellent writing and verbal skills. Marketing, accounting, web development, and/or public relations experience a plus.
