Reference/Young Adult Librarian - Acton Public Library, Old Saybrook

Reference/Young Adult Librarian - Acton Public Library, Old Saybrook is currently accepting applications for the permanent, part-time professional position of Reference and Young Adult Librarian. Must be able to assist library users in a friendly and professional manner with their reference, informational and research questions, provide reader’s assistance, and provide technical assistance with the public using the computers. Young Adult programming and collection development are also the responsibility of this position. Oversees the teen area of the library. The print and online reference collections are managed by this position. Participates in collection development for the adult nonfiction collection. Works under the supervision of the Library Director. An accredited MLS is required, with at least one year of library experience preferred. Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 1 - 5 p.m. $21.57/hour. Deadline: September 30, 2010.
