Children's Librarian - Goodwin College Early Childhood Education Program

Children’s Librarian - The Early Childhood Education program at Goodwin College is looking for an experienced children’s librarian with an MLS to co-teach a Children’s Literature course (ECE-402) for 15 weeks from 6-9 p.m. on Wednesdays beginning September 7 this fall at the riverfront campus in East Hartford. Co-teaching would involve working with another faculty member and sharing the course curriculum. Previous teaching experience is desirable. The course is designed to acquaint students with the variety of literature available for young children. Criteria for selecting books will be reviewed as well as the most appropriate methods for selecting books for young children. Students will review the importance of building books into the classroom curriculum and have opportunities to create lesson plans linked to various forms of children’s literature. The position meets the CLA recommended minimum salary requirements.
