Program Administrator, Encyclopedia of Connecticut History Online

Program Administrator, Encyclopedia of Connecticut History Online - The Connecticut Humanities Council seeks a highly organized program administrator for its Encyclopedia of Connecticut History Online, a Web site with over 1,400 articles on topics in Connecticut History scheduled to launch in May, 2010. Responsibilities: The program administrator is the organizational backbone of the project. S/he: works with project management to establish processes and procedures that support the business operations of ECHO; carries out day-to-day project administration activities; creates and maintains software applications that support business processes; prepares project documentation; assists project staff in preparing reports and other project documents; provides general administrative support to project staff as needed. Qualifications: degree in a humanities-related or library services discipline; experience with publishing environments and structured workflow processes is essential; experience in digital publishing projects preferred; superior knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Access, Word, and Excel; sound working knowledge of relational database management concepts; excellent written and verbal communications skills; outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail; strong analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment; flexibility, adaptability and a team-oriented approach are a must. Compensation and Application Instructions: The salary range for this position is $45,000 to $55,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
