Library Director - Tiverton Library Services, Rhode Island

Library Director - Search Re-opened. Tiverton [Rhode Island] Library Services Board of Trustees seeks an experienced leader for the position of Library Director. Under the direction of a seven member Board of Trustees, the Director provides leadership to and is responsible for the administration and operations of the Essex Public Library and Union Public Library which make up Tiverton Library Services. Tiverton, RI is a coastal community with a population of approximately 15,000 residents. The Director will be expected to work with a highly motivated staff continuing to provide exceptional library services to the community, and to work with the Trustees, Library Building Committee, Library Foundation, Friends Group and others to coordinate a library building project and capital campaign. Tiverton recently received an appropriation for land acquisition where plans to build a new library facility are underway. Qualifications: A master's degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited program is required. Requires experience in library administration. Knowledge of library construction/planning desired.
