Systems Librarian - Southern Connecticut State University. Position Summary: The Systems Librarian provides leadership for planning, implementing, and managing library systems. Responsible for planning, training and the integration of web-based resources. Provides support to digital conversion and digital publishing initiatives. Provides support to document delivery systems, electronic reserves, and other access initiatives. The Systems Librarian serves as liaison to one or more academic departments, providing subject-specific instruction, creating instructional materials, web pages, and developing collections. The Systems Librarian is a faculty position, as defined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the AAUP and the CSU Board of Trustees. Required Qualifications: ALA accredited M.L.S. or equivalent. Minimum of two years of current professional experience with an integrated library system in an academic library. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Familiarity with emerging trends in library service and systems. Experience with OCLC and document delivery systems, Microsoft Windows operating systems, and web page development. Application Deadline: May 15, 2008.
