Library Director - Cora J. Belden Library, Rocky Hill, CT. The Cora J. Belden Library, built in 1964 with an addition in 1979, serves a community of 18,500. Rocky Hill was named as one of the 35 best places to live in the country by CNN Money Magazine. The library averages 9.5 visits per capita, has a history of participatory management with customer service as a high priority, an annual budget of $800,000 (not including building maintenance) and a staff of 16.1 FTE. The Cora J. Belden Library is looking for an enthusiastic, community-minded person with a passion for the future of library services. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills required. Experience planning and implementing facility improvements is a priority. The Library Director reports directly to the Town Manager. A Master's degree in library science from an ALA-accredited program with a minimum of five years progressively responsible library administrative experience is required.
