Business Librarian - Search Extended. Sacred Heart University, Fairfield, CT. Sacred Heart University seeks a Business Librarian to complete the staffing of the Library's Research Services Department. Collaborating with other librarians and faculty colleagues, the Business Librarian establishes and fosters relationships and services in support of the research, instructional and resource needs of the students and faculty of the colleges. The principle duties and responsibilities of this position include: selecting subject specific resources; teaching introductory and/or subject-specific information literacy courses and instruction sessions; advocating on behalf of the academic programs in library planning; participating in the delivery of public services and the management of the Department. Requirements: MLS from an ALA accredited program of Library Science. Second master's degree or higher in an academic field related to the position. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Creativity in teaching and the development of user services.
