Adult Services/Programming Librarian - The West Haven Library seeks a tech-savvy, customer-oriented librarian for a full-time (37.5 hours) adult services/programming librarian position in our busy reference department. Must be able to work evenings and some Saturdays. The duties include but are not limited to; adult programming, collection development for the Reference department, overseeing the reference department, assisting patrons with computer support along with one-on-one training, and providing monthly reporting to the Director. This person must be a team player, have attention to detail, strong troubleshooting skills, and patience. Required qualifications are an MLS from an accredited institution with at least one year of library experience, or a minimum of 5-7 years of library experience with intention of receiving an MLS. Familiarity with Sierra a plus. Salary will be commensurate with experience. This is a union position.
