Assistant Librarian - The Gunnery,
an independent school for grades 9-12 in Washington, CT. Seeking a
part-time (20 hours/week) Assistant Librarian with lively temperament
and full range of skills to assist the Library Director in the running
of this small jewel of a school library. The candidate will be a
teacher and a learner, guiding individual students or whole classes in
research skills, using the best resources in traditional and emerging
technologies. Ability and willingness to switch from educator to
bookkeeper, cataloguer to reader’s advisor, computer tech to display
case artist. Boarding school schedule requires an evening and
alternating Saturday hours. This is a 10-month position, beginning
September 1. MLS degree from an ALA accredited program plus professional
